Students learned about our state's well being from Lt. Governor Joe Garcia at the opening dinner held at the Brown Palace Ballroom. They participated in a mock trail where they debated students rights with a supreme court judge and two practicing local layers. Students then spent time in the legislative branch of the state capitol getting a close up look into the process of passing a bill. They also were able to actively take part in a mock budget simulation presented by the state deputy director of budgeting. On the final morning, students enjoyed an intimate breakfast discussing issues with state representatives and senators. The completed the session by observing the court systems in downtown Denver.
