How do I apply?

Students can apply for the 2012 National Leadership Academy by clicking the APPY NOW button above. Your application will be submitted, processed and reviewed. You will be notified via email if you have been accepted to the program.

What happens after that?

Application materials are reviewed by NLA staff. Students will be contacted once a decision has been made regarding their admission to the program. Students who have been accepted will receive a welcome packet of additional information and forms to complete along with a deposit form.

When is the deposit and balance due?

We strongly suggest that students submit their completed forms and program fees after receiving their acceptance materials to reserve their place in the program. The balance of the program fee paid in full will be due by June 6 or for the early bird special by April 30, 2012 of $610.

Tell me more about the program fee.

The program fee for 2012 is $610 for payments made by April 30 and $625 for payments made by June 10 per participant and includes the following:

Residence hall accommodations at Colorado Christian University
All meals during the program
Program materials and activities
Transportation to and from National Leadership Academy events
Commemorative t-shirt

Is there financial assistance?

A limited number of financial assistance awards are available for students who are able to demonstrate financial need. Additional information about the application process will be included in the packet of information sent out to students once they have been accepted to the program.

What about students who arrive early?

Students arriving Wednesday, June 15 will have an additional $145 fee, which includes airport transportation (round trip), dinner, breakfast, accommodations and several facilitated evening activities. Participants arriving by car on Wednesday, June 13 will have an additional fee of $85.

Waiting list

Once the 2012 academy reaches capacity, National Leadership Academy will keep a waiting list for students who would still like to participate should a spot become available. We will contact all students on the waiting list approximately three weeks prior to the program if there is available space.

Already Accepted to NLA?

If you have already applied and have been accepted to the National Leadership Academy, congratulations! Your payment can be made by check and mailed to NLA.

Please note, if you are receiving a group discount the discount will be returned to you via a rebate provided your entire group attends the Academy.
