Values:  The program holds three items most dear:

  • The program focuses on learning while creating exceptional leaders
  • The activities are FUN and are engaging
  • The program creates a sustainable model which is delivered across multiple locations

The curriculum was developed by Dan Streeter (Asst Principal at Northridge Elementary School) and is being delivered in schools throughout Colorado beginning during the 2010-11 school year.

During days when students have off...schools remain empty and learning does not occur. This program is meant to be held on a day when traditionally schools would not meet.  Professional Learning Community Days, Parent/Teacher Conference Make-up days...any time when schools are empty...for us that's is when the learning begins.  Kids Challenge takes over the school during an all day event with 100-250+ 3rd through 8th graders in engaging and thoughtful exercises which help students learn leadership. Some of these exercises include:

  • The Dale Carnegie
  • Got Passion; Finding Your Passion
  • Time Management Olympics
  • Money Management
  • Social Etiquette
  • Self Presentation
  • How to be/find a Mentor
  • Giving back to the Community
  • Time Management
  • Boom Boom Cards
  • Planning the Story of Your Life

During our inagural event, we had Christine Chang, 7News anchor, Ana Cabrera, 7News weekend anchor and Stephen Tubbs, radio host for Colorado's Morning News speak to our kids about leadership!

Most recently we had Tawnya Rush, 9New and Colorado & Company, Tommy Spaulding, New York Times Bestselling Author of 'It's Not Just Who You Know' and Katherine Mason, Social Etiquette expert address our participants.
